They look like milk cartons affixed to sign posts. Perhaps they're icons leftover from a La Leche League demonstration?

Ah yes. . . La Leche League. Now there's a group of ladies I would just LOVE to have a few drinks with one time! I know. . . "lay off the chocolate covered cappucino beans!"
